Yankees Minor League Links Feb. 17th

Pinstripe Alley did a nice write up on two Yankees prospects who are often overlooked, Adam Warren and  David Phelps.

River Avenue Blues came out with their top 30 Yankees prospects.  Nothing too surprising.  Spoiler alert, they have Mason Williams ranked at #2.

One of the guests posts over on Lohud's Yankees Blog does a good job talking about the uncertainty of minor league baseball.  Then makes a good point about converting minor league starters to relievers to save money on the bullpen. writes an article on the Scraton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees and where they will be playing their games this season as their stadium is renovated.

Yankees Minor League Links Feb. 14th

First off, only six days until pitchers and catcher report!

Seedlings to Stars came out with their top Yankees prospects.  They did it by position.  I agree with most of their picks.  The only one I would change would be to put Dante Bichette Jr. over Tyler Austin.

Pinstripe Alley did a great write up about finding the next "Core Four."  They look at Posada, Jeter, Pettitte, and Rivera's minor league rankings and compare them to current prospects.  It is a very interesting read to just show how much of a crap shoot it is in regards to figuring out who will be successful major leaguers.

Baseball Prospectus came out with their top 101 prospects for 2012.  The Yankees on the list were: Manny Banuelos (29), Gary Sanchez (40), Dellin Betances (63), and Mason Williams (99).  These are the top four in my rankings as well so no big surprises there.
