Prospect Update August 22nd

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees had a double header against the Rochester Red Wings to make up yesterdays suspended game.  They won the first 11-2 and the second 9-4.
Jesus Montero had a huge day, going 3 for 5 with 2 HR, a double, 3 runs, and 6 RBIs in game one and 2 for 4 with a double, a run, and a RBI.  Brandon Laird also had a big day, going 1 for 4 with a HR, a run, and 3 RBIs in game one and 2 for 4 with a HR, a run, and 2 RBIs in game two.

Adam Warren started the first game and went 2 scoreless innings, striking out 2, and walking 1.  Andrew Brackman pitched 3 scoreless innings in relief, striking out 2.  Freddy Garcia pitched 4 relief inning in a rehab appearance, he gave up 2 runs and walked 1.  Manny Banuelos started game two and went 5 innings, giving up 3 runs on 6 hits, walking 3 and striking out 3.

Austin Romine went 2 for 4 with a run and a RBI.  Robert Lyerly went 1 for 4 with a run and a RBI.  Zoilo Almonte went 0 for 4.

Tampa Yankees had an off day

Charleston RiverDogs was rained out

Staten Island Yankees 3-1 victory over the Lowell Spinners
Cito Culver went 1 for 5 with a run.  Angelo Gumbs went 2 for 5 with 2 doubles and a run.  

GCL Yankees 5-6 loss to the GCL Phillies
Dante Bichette Jr. went 3 for 5 with a double.
