Prospect Update June 29th

Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees 1-2 loss to the Norfolk Tides
Jesus Montero went 1 for 4.  Brandon Laird went 0 for 4.


Trenton Thunder 3-2 victory over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats
Austin Romine went 2 for 4.  Robert Lyerly went 2 for 4 with a HR, a run, and 2 RBIs.

Phil Hughes made another rehab start at Trenton.  He went 6.1 innings, giving up 1 run and striking out 8.


Tampa Yankees 10-3 victory over the Daytona Cubs
Slade Heathcott had a big day, going 3 for 5 with a HR, 2 runs, and a RBI.  JR Murphy went 1 for 4 with a run and a RBI.  Zoilo Almonte had a nice day going 3 for 5 with a HR, 2 runs, and 3 RBIs.


Charleston RiverDogs played a double header against the Augusta GreenJackets.  Lost game one 1-2.  Won game two 9-2
Gary Sanchez went 1 for 3 with a HR, a run, and a RBI; and 1 for 4 with a run in the second.  Ramon Flores went 0 for 3 in the first game and 2 for 5 with a double, a run, and a RBI in the second game.


Staten Island Yankees 9-1 victory over the Aberdeen IronBirds
Mason Williams and Cito Culver both went 0 for 4 with a RBI.  Angelo Gumbs had a big day going 3 for 5 with 2 HR, a double, 3 runs, and 2 RBIs.


GCL Yankees 8-7 victory over the GCL Pirates
David Adams went 1 for 2 with a double and 2 RBIs.  Dante Bichette Jr. went 0 for 4.
