Prospect Update July 22nd

Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees 3-8 loss to the Syracuse Chiefs
Jesus Montero and Jorge Vazquez both went 0 for 3.

Starter Adam Warren only went 1 scoreless inning, striking out one.  He was scheduled to only pitch the one innning.  This could be due to a lurking trade he is involved in, trying to keep his innings down, or because the Yankees are going to need him to pitch in the majors soon.  We will see which of those it the truth.

Trenton Thunder 1-4 loss to the Bowie Baysox
Austin Romine went 0 for 3.  Robert Lyerly went 2 for 4 with a double and a RBI.

Manny Banuelos started and went 5 innings, giving up 4 runs, 3 earned, while striking out 3 to record the loss.

Tampa Yankees 5-6 loss to the Bradenton Marauders
Eric Chavez made another rehab start, going 1 for 4 with a double and a run.

Charleston RiverDogs 4-5 loss to the Lexington Legends
Gary Sanchez went 0 for 3.

Staten Island Yankees 2-1 victory over the Hudson Valley Renegades
Cito Culver went 1 for 4 with a RBI.  Angelo Gumbs went 1 for 2 with a RBI.

GCL Yankees 8-3 victory over the GCL Pirates
Dante Bichette Jr. had a big day going 3 for 3 with a triple, a run, and 2 RBIs.  David Adams went 2 for 4 with a HR, a run, and a RBI.
