Yankees Draft: 46th Round - Connor Mach 3B


Mach is out of his junior year at the University of Missouri.  He went to Parkway West High School in Missouri.  His older brother Kyle also played baseball for Missouri.  His Missouri bio says this about his high school career:

Was a two-time all-state selection for Parkway West High School (2007 and 2008).  Named to the all-metro and all-conference teams his junior and seniors seasons. He hit .481 his senior year, with five home runs and 20 RBI.  Had a career batting average of .465 at Parkway West, with 27 home runs, 83 RBI and 38 stolen bases.  He was a two-time all-state selection in football as a wide receiver and strong safety and was a three-time all-metro and all-conference honoree.

In 2009 he hit .246 with 2 HRs, 17 RBIs, and 24 runs.  He played in 37 of Missouri's 62 games that season, starting 32.

During his sophomore year he hit .267 with 2 HR, 10 RBI, and 8 runs.  He played in 21 games, starting 13 of those.

As a junior he hit .288 with 3 HRs, 31 RBIs, and 30 runs.  He started all 58 games for Missouri.  He also won a Big 12 Player of the Week award.
