B/T:R/R

Ravenelle was drafted out of Lincoln-Sudbury High School in Massachusetts. He is committed to Vanderbilt University.

In 2009, he went 5-0 with a 2.12 ERA with 33 strikeouts in 29.2 innings.  His fastball topped out at 90 mph.

As a junior MaxPreps had him ranked as the 96th best prep prospect in Mass.  He was selected to the Massachusetts All-League team for Dual County.  His stats that season were similar to the one before.  He went 5-0 with a 1.67 ERA.

His senior year he went 6-0 with an ERA just under 1.00.

His Perfect Game USA report reads:

Massachusetts has an outstanding crop of pitchers for 2011 and Ravenelle ranks right with his better known peers Beede and Magliozzi. He is long and loose and touched 93 mph with a big sweeping 76 mph curveball. -- David Rawnsley
