H:6'4"
W:185
B/T:L/R

O'Neil is out of Southridge High School in Washington.  He is committed to the University of Oregon.

As a sophomore in 2009,  he hit .410 with 23 RBIs.

In 2010, he hit .484 with 26 RBIs.

His senior year was not a great, he hit .339.  MaxPreps had him ranked at the #5 prep prospect in Washington. He was ranked #7 in the Baseball Northwest Super Sixty of 2011.

His Perfect Game USA scouting report reads:
Spencer O'Neil is a 2011 OF/1B with a 6-4 170 lb. frame from Kennewick, WA who attends Southridge HS. Long slender athletic frame, has not started filling out yet. Smooth easy hitting stroke, simple repeatable swing, well balanced, uses hands well, stays inside the ball, hardest contact to LCF, squares it up well, just waiting for the strength to kick in, good upside with the bat. Good outfield actions, sound fundamental footwork, charges the ball hard, long overhand release, throws have good carry. Good student, verbal commitment to Oregon.
