In the second round the Yankees took Sam Stafford a LHP out of the University of Texas.  Coming out of Klein Collins High School in Spring, Texas, Stafford was a highly touted prospect.  He was even drafted by the Red Sox in the 40th round of the 2008 MLB draft.  He was even the #6 prospect in Texas by Inside Preps Baseball.
