Yankees Draft: 22nd Round - Nick Goody RHP

H:6'
W:185
B/T: R/R

Goody is out of the State College of Florida Manatee Sarasota.  He went to University High in Orlando, Florida and there he received golden gloves his sophomore and senior years, and helped lead them to their first district championship in 13 years. Goody was named a 2009 preseason Under Armor All-American.

In 2009, his freshman year he started out at shortstop but was moved to pitcher midway through the year.  There he was quite successful, with a 2.42 ERA and 24 strikeouts in 22.1 innings.  His record was 0-1.

In 2010 he was part of the World Series Championship team for Junior College.  At SCF last season he had a great year. He went 6-2 with a 1.29 ERA and 114 strikeouts in 84 innings.  He lead his team in all of those categories.  He pitched in the FCCAA Sophomore State All-Star game.  He also pitched in the Florida Collegiate Summer League where he  was Pitcher of the Week twice, and was the MVP in the championship game at Tropicana Field.  He has also signed to play with the LSU Tigers but hopefully will sign with the Yankees instead.

He has a blog check it out here
