Prospect Update June 17th

Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees 5-6 loss to the Columbus Clippers
Jesus Montero went 1 for 3.  Neither Jorge Vazquez, 0 for 3, nor Brandon Laird, 0 for 4, got a hit.  Greg Golson had a big day going 2 for 4 with 2 triples, a run, and 3 RBIs.

DJ Mitchell got the start and went 4.1 innings giving up 6 runs, 5 earned.  He struck out 2.  Kevin Whalen is back in the minors and pitched a scoreless inning, striking out 2.


Trenton Thunder 4-10 loss to the Binghampton Mets
Brad Suttle went 1 for 4 with a solo HR.

Manny Banuelos made the start and only made it through 3 innings, while giving up 5 runs and striking out 3.


Tampa Yankees had an off day


Charleston RiverDogs 2-10 loss to the Hickory Crawdads
Gary Sanchez and JR Murphy went 1 for 4.  Rob Segedin had a nice day, going 3 for 4 with a HR, a run, and a RBI.


Staten Island Yankees 3-5 loss to the Brooklyn Cyclones
Cito Culver went 0 for 4.  Angelo Gumbs went 1 for 4 with a run and a RBI.  Mason Williams had a nice day, going 2 for 4 with a HR, a double, a run, and a RBI.
