Tampa Yankees 11-6 victory over the Lakeland Flying Tigers
Robert Lyerly had a good game, going 2 for 4 with a HR, 2 runs, and a RBI.  Zoilo Almonte had an even better game.  He went 3 for 4 with 2 HR, 3 runs, and 3 RBIs.  Luke Murton went 2 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 RBIs.

Charleston Riverdogs 3-9 loss to the Greenville Drive
Gary Sanchez went 1 for 5 with a RBI.  JR Murphy went 1 for 4.   Ramon Flores went 0 for 3 with a run.

  1. Zoilo has been lighting it up lately. He did the same thing at Charleston last season right around this time before he got called up to Tampa and struggled. Maybe they should leave him in High A this season so he can build his confidence and hit AA next season in stride.

  2. Also, I love Lyerly. He has done nothing but hit since he started with the Yankees in the minors. I hope he develops some power, because he's at a position that requires it at the major league level.

Warren's only run was the first batter of the game, a homerun I believe. He needs to start striking more people out though.
