Prospect Update May 28th

Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees 3-4 loss to the Louisville Bats
Jesus Montero went 1 for 4.  Justin Maxwell went 2 for 4 with a HR, double, a run and a RBI.  Jorge Vazquez went 0 for 4.

A top prospect, Andrew Brackman was on the mound.  He went 4.1 innings, giving up 2 runs only 1 hit while striking out 8.  However, he also walked 6 batters in his 96 pitch effort.

Trenton Thunder played a double header
Game One 8-7 victory over the Portland Sea Dogs
Austin Romine went 2 for 2 with a run and 2 RBIs.  Corban Joseph had a nice day going 2 for 4 with 2 doubles, a run, and 2 RBIs.

Josh Schmidt recorded his fifth save for the Thunder pitching a scoreless inning.

Game Two 5-7 loss to the Portland Sea Dogs
Brad Suttle went 1 for 3 with 2 runs.

Switch pitcher Pat Venditte pitched 4.1 scoreless innings in relief.

Tampa Yankees 4-2 victory over the Charlotte Stone Crabs
Robert Lyerly went 0 for 3 with a run.

Charleston RiverDogs 6-3 victory over the Hickory Crawdads
Slade Heathcott went 0 for 4 with a RBI.  Ramon Flores went 0 for 4.
